LFY provides a comprehensive certification for those working with youth ages 3 to 18. Our program is Registered with Yoga Alliance and offers up to 6 graduate-level credits through our accredited partner, University of the Pacific.
We believe that effective teaching begins with your own self-awareness. Our framework roots you in your own personal practice first, then equips you with a research-based toolkit centered on healing, resilience, and adaptability.
As practitioners and educators ourselves, we ensure our curriculum is constantly evolving to reflect the latest developments in neurobiology, learning theory, and trauma-informed care. You aren’t just getting a certification—you’re joining a mission to support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of the next generation.
We have streamlined our professional path into two clear, successive steps designed to move you from core foundational skills to advanced clinical mastery. This progression ensures you have a supported, comprehensive journey toward your full certification
Build a professional foundation in the LFY 5-Element framework. This cohort focuses on the skills needed for safe community building, effective and ethical teaching, and anchoring in your own personal practice.
Move from implementation to mastery in this 100% virtual professional track. This stage dives into specialized application and high-level teaching strategies, culminating in your 95-hour RCYT designation, and eligibility for 6 graduate level credits.
Advanced Certification details are coming soon. Completion of Foundations is required for enrollment.
The LFY training program is an inclusive, professional, caring, empowering experience with top-notch trainers who bring out the best in all its participants. I look forward to bringing my new-found wisdom and practice out into the world!

Our training is more than just a curriculum; it is a commitment to educational excellence and sustainable support. These three pillars are what make the Little Flower Yoga framework the leading standard for professionals worldwide.
In a field often focused on the surface, we dive deep. Our curriculum is rooted in the latest neurobiology and developmental science, ensuring you aren’t just teaching activities, but supporting the nervous system and contributing to healthy child development.
Complexity made simple. Our signature framework—Connect, Breathe, Move, Focus, Relax—provides a reliable architecture for every session, allowing you to be present with your students instead of worrying about what comes next.
You are not learning in a vacuum. Our cohort model prioritizes mentorship and peer connection. With weekly office hours and direct access to faculty, along with vibrant discussion spaces online, you have a support system that evolves with you.
I have been an educator for 30+ years and this was one of THE best trainings I have ever attended. The presenters are impassioned individuals who have deep respect for children and their development and share their passion, tools and resources with grace, intelligence and humor. They created a safe space for us to learn, experiment, ask questions and make mistakes. They also facilitated time for us to reflect, collaborate and nurture ourselves. TOP NOTCH!!!

Our entire certification is currently offered online, within our easy to use and engaging online learning community.
A bit of both plus more. We combine self-paced content with livestream discussions, open office hours for Q&A, partner and group work. This is a highly supportive and interactive online experience.
All livestreams are recorded for folks who can’t attend. When livestreams are interactive there may be assignments to complete if you miss them.
Definitely not. This is a comprehensive training that is appropriate for anyone who is interested in helping children become the best versions of themselves. Each training session contains a diverse group of yoga teachers, classroom teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, counselors, parents and many more.
You don’t have to be able to do advanced yoga poses for training, but general familiarity with the practice is important. The best thing to do is to just participate in classes at a local yoga studio before our training, and, if possible, take a beginners yoga workshop in preparation.
Some people register for Part One (Foundations) and find that they have the tools they need to introduce yoga to the children in their lives.
Many participants do participate in all levels, but there is no requirement unless you are hoping to become certified.
Part One (Foundations) training covers the most essential aspects of sharing yoga and mindfulness with children safely and effectively, in a trauma informed manner.
You’ll learn our five element methodology of connect, breathe, move, focus and relax, and how to use practices within each of these elements to cultivate self-awareness, resilience and joy in children and teens.
This training will give you the tools you need to start teaching right away, in a variety of settings including schools, studios, and private sessions.
No. You can participate fully without any props or other equipment at home. A yoga mat would be great but you really don’t even need that!
It depends. If you register for our bundled certification program you have access to all of your courses for one year, which gives plenty of time to move through the content at a pace that supports integration.
If you need to extend your access, you can do so on a month to month or annual basis by joining our coaching community.
If you purchase each course required for certification individually, you will have access to each course for one year, but can spread the coursework out as you choose.
Yes! You receive training manuals (among other supportive content and resources) for all levels of training and courses.
There are 4 books to read and those are at an additional cost but we have found they are often available at a local library.
Yes. Community is very important to us!
Once you begin training (at any level) you will be invited to our Private Online Learning Community. This is a wonderful group with over 1000 LFY graduates that have various professional backgrounds. Folks are happy to support each other in this space, and LFY trainers and staff regularly check posts as well to be sure everyone who needs support gets it.
We also have our LFY Mentorship Circle. This membership offers many resources including:

Yes. LFY is a Yoga Alliance registered school. Yoga Alliance registration requires that you participate in all our core curriculum, consisting of Level 1, Level 2, Level 3; Three Online Courses (6 content hours each) addressing trauma, chair yoga, and neurodiversity; Two Integration + Implementation programs that include a teaching practicum and a mentorship matching you with a teacher for personalized feedback. Yoga Alliance registration is subject entirely to their policies, which can change. We recommend reviewing their website if this is an important part of your path.
We work with each teacher to adapt the mentorship to the demands of busy schedules.
If you participate in live mentorship (usually greater NYC area only) we require 18 hours of class participation, and many people choose to attend once a week for two back to back classes, and complete the program in 9 weeks. Most folks participate in our web based mentor program, which takes 6-12 weeks based on your pace.
Please Note: Currently all LFY mentorship is being held virtually.
Yes. All of our School Wellness Project teachers are LFY certified, and we only hire teachers who have completed our training.
