Mayuri Gonzalez

Core Team, Trainer

Mayuri Gonzalez, E-RYT, RCYT, is a nationally recognized presenter, trainer, and instructor in mindfulness and children’s yoga, leading teacher trainings and continuing education seminars throughout the country. She has more than 25 years of experience practicing yoga and mindfulness, including 17 years as an instructor and trainer.

Gonzalez has taught thousands of children’s yoga and mindfulness classes in schools and community settings and hundreds of professional development workshops and speaking engagements. She has completed extensive training and holds certifications in a variety of yoga styles (Yin, Anusara, vinyasa), meditation, mindfulness, and children’s yoga.

For the last 8 years, Mayuri has worked with Little Flower Yoga as the director of the School Wellness Project The School Wellness Project. She supervises teaching staff, directs internal staff development, and coordinates direct service yoga and mindfulness classes for school children, professional development trainings, and family engagement programs.

Mayuri Gonzalez has also presented on yoga and mindfulness for children and adolescents at multiple conferences, including the Bridging Hearts and Minds of Youth Conference in CA, National Kids Yoga Conference in Washington, DC, Coalition of Schools Educating Mindfully: Conference in IL, The Yoga Service Conference at Omega, and the Women of Tomorrow Conference in New York City.

She is a contributing author to Best Practices for Yoga in Schools, a white book published by the Yoga Service Council and Omega Institute, and co-author of Yoga and Mindfulness for Teens Card Deck and Mindful Chair Yoga Card Deck.  As an active member of the Yoga Service Council and the International Association for Yoga Therapists, she maintains a strong community of support and a commitment to continuous learning.
