Kelli Love, M.Ed is an educator, presenter, and consultant in the field of children’s mindfulness and yoga. She develops curriculum with a focus on self-awareness, emotion regulation and well being; Kelli currently teaches at Girls Prep Bronx Elementary, where yoga and mindfulness are embraced as a school wide content area. In 2015 Kelli created a short film, Aliza and the Mind Jar, to demonstrate the impact of yoga and mindfulness curriculum on school communities. She is a former classroom teacher and believes all children have a right to experience the empowering life skills that yoga and mindfulness offer. Kelli’s teaching is deeply informed by her training with Little Flower Yoga, Mindful Schools and the intersection of social/emotional learning with contemplative practices. She emphasizes a trauma informed lens in her teaching practice.
Kelli provides consulting services to organizations on curriculum development (RULER, The Contentment Foundation) and provides mentorship and professional development for teacher educators in various contexts (Little Flower Yoga and Yogis in Service).
Kelli brings 20 years of personal mindfulness and yoga practice to her teaching and was inspired to teach by her mother, a public school teacher for 38 years. She received her B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Naropa University (2001), where contemplative practices are integrated into the higher education experience, and also holds a Masters in Elementary Education. In 2004, Kelli completed her initial yoga teacher training and was certified to teach yoga at the 500-RYT level with YogaWorks in 2013. Kelli is also a registered children’s yoga teacher (C-RYT) and is a certified mindfulness instructor through Mindful Schools.
