It’s a wide and wonderful world out there, and we think you should get to know these folks doing allied work in the field.
This is Elizabeth’s second career in pursuit of mindfulness, happiness and balance.
She has been practicing yoga since the age of 25, as it was a natural transition from the study of ballet as a child through adulthood. She performed in The Nutcracker at City Center in New York City.
Her first love and and what she “thought” was her only passion was fashion. Dressing many celebrities on and off the red carpet and working with top editors at every fashion magazine on the newsstands, she enjoyed a very successful career in the industry as a fashion stylist.
Despite the success and enjoyment, Elizabeth felt something missing in her life. After an amazing yoga-meditation journey to Bali, she found her true calling and true passion; her Dharma. With a change of heart and a desire to do something that would give her gratification and peace, Elizabeth gave up her previous career for the chance to make a difference not only in her own life but in the lives of others as well.
Since that journey, Elizabeth has traveled to Costa Rica to take a workshop in aerial yoga and India where she went for Panchakarma. Panchakarma is the ultimate mind-body healing experience for detoxifying the body, strengthening the immune system, and restoring balance and wellbeing. Practicing yoga in an ashram and joining in Arti every night at the Ganges River felt like a home away from New York. It is just the first few steps of traveling the world, studying and practicing yoga meditation and mindfulness.
Studying “yin yoga” in a beautiful work shop with master Sarah Powers was an honor.
She ERYT and RYT 200 and recently YACEP. The learning and studying is a continuous journey.
Elizabeth is also a certified master Reiki healer studying under Berta Prevosti at the Samsara School of Reiki in Stratford, CT. Born out of her love for children, she completed her certification levels 1, 2 and 3 with Little Flower Yoga – RCYT (www.littlefloweryoga.com) at The Omega Institute For Holistic Studies with Jennifer Cohen Harper.
Life has never been happier!!!
